Automotive photography in Cyprus has historically required productions to ship vehicles to dedicated automotive studios in mainland Europe or improvise with outdoor locations. That changed when Red Storm Films opened the 10x10m cyclorama studio in Limassol — the only studio in Cyprus large enough to drive a full-size vehicle directly inside.

The Right Studio Size for Automotive

Automotive photography requires three things: enough floor area to position the vehicle and circle it with cameras and lights, enough ceiling height for top-down shots and to keep light fixtures out of frame, and a dedicated production door wide enough for the vehicle to enter. Our 10x10 metre floor with 8 metre ceiling and dedicated production door provides all three.

Why a Cyclorama Beats a Photo Booth

Standard photo studios usually have visible floor-wall corners that need extensive retouching in post when shooting cars. The cyclorama eliminates this — the seamless curve from floor to wall means your car appears against true infinite white background, no Photoshop work needed for the seam. Major automotive brands shooting in Cyprus consistently choose this over rented warehouses.

Lighting for Automotive Shoots

Cars require specific lighting — large soft sources for paint, controlled highlights on chrome, and careful management of reflections on glass and curved bodywork. Our cyclorama studio is rigged with ARRI SkyPanel and Aputure LED panels alongside HMI fixtures and butterflies for soft overhead. Productions can hire any combination from our Kino Rentals inventory.

Photography vs Video

The cyclorama is equally suited to still photography and video. For automotive video — including TVCs and brand films — we typically shoot with RED Monstro 8K or ARRI Alexa Mini cameras, with motion control rigs available for hero shots. The soundproofed walls support clean dialogue and engine sound recording in the same space.
