How to Plan Your First Cyclorama Studio Shoot in Cyprus

Booking your first cyclorama studio shoot in Cyprus can feel overwhelming — the studio rental is only one of a dozen decisions you need to make. Here is a practical step-by-step planning guide based on what first-time clients at Red Storm Films most commonly need to know.
Lead Time — How Far in Advance to Book
For commercial photography and product shoots, 7 to 14 days lead time is comfortable. For music videos, allow 2 to 4 weeks to coordinate talent, equipment and crew. For feature production days or large commercial shoots, plan 4 to 8 weeks ahead so location permits, casting and equipment hold can be finalised. Last-minute bookings are possible — we have accommodated next-day shoots when the studio is available — but bring your own checklist.
Pre-Production Checklist
Before your shoot day, confirm: the shoot brief and shot list, the call sheet (everyone arrives on time), talent or model logistics, wardrobe and styling, equipment list including the cameras, lighting and lenses you need from Kino Rentals, the catering plan, payment processing, and the post-production handover format. Red Storm Films can take care of any of these for you, or we coordinate around your existing production team.
Crew You Will Need
Minimum crew for most shoots: a director or DP, an assistant, and the talent or subjects. Standard commercial shoots add a gaffer, a sound recordist, hair and makeup, and a producer. Music videos and larger campaigns add a focus puller, a grip, additional camera ops, and a behind-the-scenes photographer. Our experienced bilingual (English, Greek, Russian) crew is available to fill any of these roles.
Equipment Decisions
Beyond the studio itself, your equipment list typically includes: camera and lens kit (ARRI Alexa Mini, RED Monstro, Sony FX9 are common choices), continuous lighting (ARRI SkyPanel for soft sources, HMI for daylight balance), grip (stands, flags, diffusion, bounce), and audio gear if you are shooting dialogue. Kino Rentals provides all of this from the same Limassol facility, so nothing needs to be sourced from a separate vendor.
Day-of Logistics
On shoot day, plan 1 hour for setup before your first scene and 30 to 60 minutes for wrap. Free on-site parking is available for cast, crew and equipment trucks. The dressing rooms and kitchenette are ready for use on arrival. Our team will walk you through the facility, point out power outlets, dimmer racks, blackout curtains, and the production door used for vehicle or large prop access.
